How you can help the

Guildford Vision Group

We hope you agree with our vision for Guildford. We still need to convince the council to commit to delivering an improved town centre and we need your help to do it.

You can support us in a number of ways.

More pedestrian-only space in the town centre

New public space, including squares and green space, and a reinvigorated riverside

Redirection of traffic away from the town centre

An integrated transport hub for rail and road

More town-centre housing for all

A new, improved east-west link across the river

Write to your councillor

Adopt our ideas

Tell your local councillors that you want them to adopt GVG’s proposals for delivering a proper plan. You can find out who the councillors are for your area, together with their contact details, here.

All you need to do is send them an email letting them know that you support our idea for a new crossing. Please copy us into your email too (action@guildfordvisiongroup.com). You can use the statement here.

For your councillor:

“I would like you to ensure that the new crossing proposed by Guildford Vision Group, as part of a wider plan for Guildford’s development, is adopted by the council. This will direct traffic around, rather than through, the town centre, enabling a masterplan for Guildford to go ahead and provide the right conditions for more pedestrian-only space, new homes, new businesses, a better civic quarter and a thriving riverside.”
